  Youth-Only: April 3-4

  General Season: April 17 - May 9

   Squirrel & Other Species (Open statewide)

   Squirrel: June 5-18

   Coyote, Groundhog & Wild Hog*: year-round

* Groundhogs and wild hogs may be trapped year-round. It is illegal to possess live wild hogs in Kentucky; all trapped hogs must be killed at the trap site, and not released.

 Note: Seasons on some Wildlife Management Areas and other public hunting lands not managed by Kentucky Fish and Wildlife may be different from those above. Please check the Public Land Hunting section for those exceptions.
